Charlie’s Transmission started in 1967 by Charles Sumner. He started the business in a two stall shop behind a filling station. In 1980, he purchased the property next door and built a new 11 stall building, which is our current location.

Charles and Charlotte Sumner owned the company since 1967. Charles passed the business on to his son Chad, who is the current owner. Chad has worked in the business since he was a small child. Our business is built on honesty and integrity!

Chad is our builder. He has his nephew as his R & R Man, who has worked here for 20 years. Our business is family owned and operated. Chad has numerous certificates from ATSG!

Our office is run by Charlotte Sumner, Owner, and Angie Sumner, Chad’s Wife.
